Multipet Gorrrrilla, The Little Treat Toy That Could
This small fetch and treat toy packs a big punch with the fun it will provide. But for how long? Results may vary. In this review we use the 2.5″ model, there is also a 3.5″ & 4.5″ versions available.
Eli and I both enjoy this toy, it has a good bounce and tumbles all over due to its unique shape. If you like to keep your dog guessing like the ChuckIt! Erratic Ball then you will love this toy. I found that stuffing it with treats was a lot of fun but causes more wear on it. Took me a while, but I found that Marrowtreats fits this thing perfectly as Eli absolutely loves the combination.
Quality & Durability
The Gorrrrilla Multipet dog toy initially held up very well with no signs of wear. My Rottweiler, Eli would even chew on it for extended periods of time like bubble gum. That changed when I started buying Ol’ Roy Marro-O-Treats and stuffed them inside the Gorrrrilla. Eli began biting the toy really hard to crack the stuffed treats so they would fall out for him to enjoy.
This Multipet toy is intended for smaller and medium sized dogs. A larger dog may be able to eventually tear it over time if motivated, like stuffing it with hard treats. Keep an eye on it as you would any toy and you should be fine.
Indoor: As a smaller toy it is quite safe to toss around even with all the bounces.
Outdoor: The toy may pick up some dirt in the ridges and treat hole if tossed outside. Clean as needed.
This Multipet dog toy only cost a few dollars and I would definitely buy it again but a bigger size more suited for Eli. It is a fun alternative to throwing a ball or Kong/Sumo type of toy. It also makes a fantastic treat toy for smaller sized treats, something that is surprisingly uncommon.
I picked this up on a whim and wasn’t sure what to expect. It turned out to be a great toy and even better treat toy. While it is slowly starting to tear, it hasn’t chunked after a year of heavy use. It is starting to crack slightly since I am using it as a treat toy. Now that Eli is fully grown I should retest with the 4.5″ sized toy as that would be more suited for an extra large dog.
- Light weight
- Fairly durable
- Nice bounce
- Can chip if used as a treat toy
