Why Every Dog Should Have a Sumo Dog Play Toy
The medium size Sumo chew/fetch toy is a Kong-style toy that can be used as a fetch toy or can be filled with treats to turn it into a treat toy as needed.
Quality & Durability
Made of a very durable and high-quality rubber I would definitely put this under the indestructible dog toy list. It is very sturdy and has the feel and weight of something that is heavy duty. After a year of daily use it only has a few very small chunks missing.
The large model showed little point marks where the teeth gripped the Sumo but the medium one has none at all.

The Sumo makes a great chew toy and fetch toy. Because of its long shape it can tumble randomly like a football which will keep your dog on its toes! My dog prefers the large model due to the size of his jaw but this would suit most average size dogs perfectly.
It has a good sized cavity you can stuff it with treats like Milk Bones or freeze food like peanut butter and then it becomes a treat toy that the dog really enjoys working on for the reward. It’s also a great way to keep your dog engaged and stimulated, leaving a stuffed Sumo can help teething dogs or provide a distraction when you need to leave the house, helping with their anxeity.back to menu ↑
Since it is an indestructible dog toy it has great value. This has withstood heavy use from my power chewer of a dog and helped a lot when he was in a puppy teething stage. I have a Rottweiler but would make an excellent Pitbull chew toy and for other power chewing breeds.
This dog chew toy is very safe and will not fall apart on you any time soon. These are built to last. I can leave this with my dog when unattended no problem.
Indoor Use: Though not as heavy as the large model it still carries a bit of weight from the dense rubber that is used. It can tumble and bounce up at times so watch out for fragile items, even at at table height.
Outdoor Use: The cavity and ridges can collect dirt so I would recommend cleaning it regularly and when bringing the toy back into the house.
It can be cleaned by hand or in a dishwasher which might be easier to get into the cavity. Definitely keep the cavity clean if you plan on using wet foods.back to menu ↑
After over a year of use of and heavy chewing, tugging, tossing and roughing around with this dog fetch toy it has held up perfect. Being able to stuff treats in them makes this an excellent chew toy overall as well.back to menu ↑
