A KONG Classic Ball Built To Last
The KONG Ball is a very durable and long-lasting fetch toy that can also be used as a tug toy. Let’s see how it holds up.
Quality & Durability
As one would expect with a KONG toy durability is obvious as soon as you pick this dog ball toy up. Other than the hole that is cut right through the middle the toy is a mass of solid rubber. Despite being very thick the fetch toy has a very nice texture and can be squeezed firmly. Perfect for a big dog that likes to chew and possibly even a stress ball for humans.back to menu ↑
While I enjoy playing with the ball as a fetch toy it is neither Eli’s nor my favorite fetch ball. It doesn’t have a lot of bounce to it or give for chewing. Admittedly, this is more suited to be used as a tug toy though I have not bought a rope for this yet. I also have not found a treat yet that works well with this toy though I will update at a later date once I test those capabilities. If you have any suggestions I’d love to hear your reviews and recommendations for this dog toy, leave a comment below!back to menu ↑
This toy has already lasted a few years with no signs of wear. It will definitely last many more and stand up to even the heaviest power chewers and large dogs.back to menu ↑
This KONG toy is simple, safe and easy to clean. The high-quality rubber doesn’t shred, chip, flake or even show bite marks after 2 years I would not worry about leaving a dog unattended with this toy.
Indoor: Since it is heavier than the average ball it can definitely knock things over if thrown inside. Definitely be careful if you do so.

After over 2 years of using the KONG ball it still looks like it is brand new. While it makes a decent fetch ball and likely a good tug toy, it is kind of average at both. There are definitely better versions of each toy but if you’re looking to add a very durable and versatile toy to collection this is one might be right for you.back to menu ↑
